"WE NEED TO RE-DESIGN"... What data have the client gathered so far?

QUANTITATIVE ANALYTICS & USER RESEARCH


Business leaders (CIOs, Stakeholders, etc.) generally talk with the language of KPIs. So asking to access their analytics and gather a complete behavioural scenario of their users is essential. This also needs to be backed up by a thorough User Research conducting usability testing, interviews, shadowing and surveys.



However, if there is no access to analytics data, quantitative data can still be gathered through surveys, generally via email. Below a map of the user research methods.
